ACTIVITY 6.2 - From Clips to Creation: My CapCut Editing Experience

For my multimedia project, I employed CapCut as the main video editing app. I utilized video clips which I recorded personally using my smartphone camera, together with images I took myself or downloaded from free stock image sites such as Unsplash and Pexels. As for audio, I used background music and sound effects from the in-app library of CapCut, as well as royalty-free music from websites such as Free Music Archive. To add to the visuals, I utilized CapCut's native text overlays and graphic animations.

I obtained the video clips by filming them straight on my smartphone, while the photos were downloaded from sites that offer free-to-use material. The audio and sound effects were obtained from CapCut's music library and other royalty-free materials. Throughout the process, I ensured to use material legally by checking the licensing conditions of the images and videos, ensuring they were free for commercial purposes. For sound, I had used audio pieces from CapCut's royalty-free collection or music pieces licensed on other platforms. Where possible, I also took care to appropriately attribute any work that needed attributing, sticking to the agreements of the licenses to remain on the right side of the law.
