Lives a citizen wise and kind,
With a thoughtful heart and mindful mind.

She clicks with care, she types with grace,
No hurtful words, no hostile face.
Responsible use—her daily guide,
With empathy always by her side.

She searches for truth in the web’s vast sea,
From trusted sources, critically.
Digital literacy shines bright and clear,
She spots fake news when it draws near.

Her password’s strong, her data tight,
No shady links will catch her sight.
Online safety—her steadfast shield,
In every space, her trust is sealed.

So here’s to those who scroll and swipe,
With minds so sharp and hearts so bright.
Digital citizens, rise and lead—
The web needs more of your good deeds.

  After conducting interviews with four non-professional individuals—a vegetable vendor, a sikad driver, a tricycle driver, and a sari-sari store owner—I learned that while most of them are unfamiliar with the term “digital citizenship,” they still practice many of its principles in their daily online behavior.   Information technology has greatly impacted my life as a student. My smartphone and laptop help me stay connected with friends and family through Messenger. YouTube offers endless learning opportunities and entertainment, while TikTok adds creativity and fun. Google Docs allows me to collaborate easily with groupmates, organizing tasks and sharing ideas efficiently. IT has made communication faster, learning more accessible, and entertainment just a click away, making life more efficient and enjoyable, and proving how essential technology is in today’s world.
